The D-Freeze Freeze Dryer is a powerful machine designed to remove moisture from food while preserving its flavor, color, and nutrients. To begin the process, food must first be completely pre-frozen. This important step ensures that the moisture in the food turns into solid ice before drying begins. Once the frozen food is placed inside the freeze dryer, the system lowers the pressure in the chamber using a vacuum pump.
With the chamber under vacuum, the D-Freeze Freeze Dryer gradually warms the shelves. This controlled heat causes the ice in the food to change directly into vapor in a process called sublimation.
